92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Festival
|
The program will include Window Stories 'the interaction of fellow New Yorkers glimpsed through their windows', a world premiere developed in collaboration with sculptor Alfredo Cardenas and video artist Tom Ruth, and an untitled collection of "Movement Portraits" inspired by Norman Rockwell, with music composed by Dred Scott who will perform on clarinet and piano. Also included on the program will be: ...still we sit, a timeless duet to music by Henryk Gorecki, and Let Go a turbulent trio for men performed to music by Arvo Part. Maxine Steinman & Dancers consist of dancers: Columbine Macher, Tomomi Imai, Val Loukianovets, Dagmar Spain, Mark Taylor, and Raymundo Costa. and they are wonderful.
